West African drum class with Sayon Camara
We would like to warmly welcome you back into community with a special, outdoor West African drumming class, featuring Sayon Camara. With this class we are celebrating Sayon Camara’s move to Maine, with his wife, Lev, as we welcome them as new residents to the Bath, ME community!
The special class details are as follows:
This class is open to students of all levels of drumming experience!
Date: Saturday, September 24th; Rain Date: Sunday, September 25th
Time: 2 pm- 3:30 pm
Where: Resounding Rhythms, 476 Old Bath, Rd, Wiscasset, ME - at the front of our house, next to our entrance garden, on the lawn.
Please bring: Your mask, your djembe, a folding chair, beverage for hydration during class, sun-block if desired, bug spray (probably won’t need it, but just to be safe), anything else you feel you may need to keep yourself comfortable while drumming outside.
A few logistical details:
We have several members of our community who are immunocompromised. Please help keep them safe by distancing outdoors, and wearing a mask indoors during bathroom breaks. There will be antiseptic wipes available in the bathroom, as well as soap (duh), and hand sanitizer.
If you need a folding chair, please indicate that on the registration form.
Also, we have a limited number of rental djembe available for during class . If you need to rent one, please indicate that on the registration form.
Please note: We have had some work done on our driveway, so there is a new traffic pattern. Please park in the driveway and first comers may park in the turn-around to the right. Parking on the street is not permitted in Wiscasset.
